Manahi grew up at Awa FM and was just 5 days old when he attended the stations opening broadcast in 1991. After graduating from Te Kura o Kokohuia Whanganui and working in various parts of the rohe, his first Awa FM show as host was the Drive-Time “Te Puwaha show.” He has worked as studio technician for Rauru Broughton, Papa Tom Webb Kuki Airani – Pasifika Show and was the former breakfast show anchor of “Tu Mai te Ata” plus numerous outside broadcasts including Ratana 25th Celebrations, Pakaitore days and Te Tira Hoe. In 2020 he completed his Diploma in Radio Broadcasting from Whitireia Polytechnic and is looking forward to “bringing more of our people and their voices on-air!”
